  • Dougherty Apartments, Chatswood was founded as a partnership between Willoughby Council and NSW Department of Housing in 1989. It comprises 70 residential aged care rooms and 79 ILU’s housed in a modern 8 storey building.

A great newly created role of General Manager is now available. We are looking for an experienced Aged Care Manager with significant leadership experience and ideally a Registered Nurse. As General Manager, you will be reporting to a Board and supported by a Care Manager and team.

You will drive operational performance, providing strong leadership to the Dougherty Apartments team, assuring legislative and regulatory compliance, delivering high standards of care and developing community relationships. All the while monitoring and maintaining a satisfactory financial performance.

With a passion for your profession you will engage easily in developing positive working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

To be successful in this role you have Tertiary Qualifications in a management or a health-related discipline, current or former RN APHRA certification and leadership experience in the aged care industry. Demonstrated knowledge of the Aged Care and Retirement Villages Acts respectively will be desirable.
