Our client is a boutique provider of Integrated Living care, encompassing Retirement Living and residential aged care services (with extra services) across NSW and QLD. They are in a growth and development phase, considered in the industry as a dynamic and innovative player.
This opportunity, as Facility Manager / DON, will be managing a residential care home where they won the ‘Best Retirement Living Development’ at the 2016 Property Council of Australia Innovation and Excellence Awards.
This contemporary extra services 66 bed residential aged care home is set on beautiful landscaped grounds, adjacent to 79 retirement living apartments. Well situated in the heart of the local community, the physical environment is enviable, full of flexible open spaces for relatives and guests to visit and relax.
As part of the Leadership team you will work closely with your direct line Village Manager and be supported by corporate / head office key personnel. You will also be integral in building, leading, mentoring and progressing your team, developing and optimising care within the home. Managing day to day operations and family / relative relationships will be something you are genuinely good at and enjoy.

You will be developing a customer driven culture and a reputation for excellence in dementia care (supported by an org-wide dementia excellence practice lead). You will work collaboratively with external allied health consultants and professionals, internally with the chef, leisure and lifestyle, the clinical team, building and maintenance and other corporate key personnel.
Essential to your success in this role is Registered Nurse (AHPRA) certification complemented with aged care management experience and appropriate leadership attributes.
You are passionate about customer service, partnering with other professionals and corporate office executives to nurture and build your team, ensuring residents are provided with the best possible care.
You will demonstrate flexibility in your approach to ensuring the operations are running smoothly. You will have a mature attitude to developing meaningful and professional relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
