Offering a full suite of aged care services and an excellent brand within the ACT, the organisation has a significant career opportunity available to an experienced leader of residential aged care.
Reporting to the Executive Manager of Residential Care and supported by two capable Deputy Directors of Nursing and site team, the Director of Nursing will manage the operations of two residential aged care homes over one site, both of exceptional quality including a cottage model of care which is evidence based and industry leading. Set on an impressive parcel of land, with independent living included, the grounds and work environment are ‘resort like’ but retain a home like feel.
A dynamic and supportive organisational team and culture provide ample resourcing on site to both the Director of Nursing and team respectively. This will empower the Director of Nursing to lead and manage operations successfully.
As the successful candidate, you will be a proven residential aged care leader, capable of optimising commercial outcomes / KPI’s. Your effective workforce management style engages, builds and empowers teams. With real presence, you easily establish expectations of others, constantly monitoring and evaluating performance strategically, managing appropriately as required. You have excellent analytical and decision-making capacity, utilising your previous experience and skills pragmatically. An ability to develop effective relationships will be second nature and you take comfort by being present ‘on the floor’, knowing the pulse of the business and all its’ aspects.
Motivated by the need to make a difference to consumer quality, care, and lifestyle services, you will continue to ensure this is the residential aged care facility of choice locally.
A minimum of five years’ experience leading multidisciplinary teams at the senior operational level within large centres / residential aged care facilities and AHPRA certification as a Registered Nurse are essential.
