    The company:

    Based on the North Shore of Sydney, our client has provided care and accommodation services for nearly 60 years. They are a for purpose organisation, governed by a Board of Directors and led by an experienced CEO.

    Currently, they operate within the full spectrum of aged care including self-care units, a medium sized residential aged care home and a sizeable number of home care packages. The size of these operations will effectively double within the next 12 months, this includes the building of a state-of-art residential aged care facility.


    The role:

    Reporting to the Facility Manager/DON, you will manage clinical standards, quality and safety and contribute to both positive consumer and commercial outcomes. As Care Manager / DDON a typical day would include updating and managing care plans, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of completion in conjunction with the clinical care and allied health teams. You will also be responsible for the delivery of high quality, individualised clinical care, coupled with rolling out contemporary wellness and lifestyle programs that are tailored to meet consumer need.

    Developing and managing clinical and lifestyle staff is something you have experience with.

    Who you are:

    We require an experienced Care Manager / DDON with AHPRA Registered Nurse certification and previous management experience in residential aged care – both are essential. You have a positive attitude, the ability to effectively implement changes as required, to support the residential aged care development taking place over the next 12 months. Industry experience will ensure you are cognisant of the change within the aged care sector, including quality and safety standards and consumer expectation and involvement. Balancing ‘being on the floor’ with administrative functions is something you do well, in conjunction with your team.
