Scalabrini Village Ltd. operates eight residential aged care services across NSW. Founded nearly 50 years ago, their mission is to provide excellent care to the frail aged and people living with dementia, delivered with a profound sense of justice and respect for all cultures. Also within the Italian tradition of community, mutual help, Christian faith and family. Today the organisation employs over 960 people and cares for 680 residents.
We are seeking an experienced Care Manager / Clinical Leader with significant aged care management / clinical leadership experience in residential aged care. You will be based at Drummoyne, reporting to a dynamic General Manager. Your zest for life and your profession will translate into the way you lead people clinically. This is with a strong sense of justice, professionalism and clinical / people development expertise. You strive to create an environment which surrounds residents, families and staff in the delivery of: passion for life; fabulous food; genuine commitment to person centred care and creating enabling communities.
As Clinical Care Manager you will be well supported, both at the Village / facility level and at Head Office. You will also value working closely with the Dementia Excellence team to build capacity within your team.
In order to be successful as Clinical Care Manager, you will have demonstrated that you have a truly person centred approach to the delivery of compassionate and excellent service to the very frail and vulnerable elders of our community. This will include a commitment to changing the quality of interactions between people living and working together in the village. Prior comprehensive experience in a similar role is essential, as is certification as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
The Village by Scalabrini opens February 2018. The Village’s rich community environment including village piazza, working gardens, café, pizzeria, barber, hair and beauty salon, wellness centre, exercise park, village shop and chapel will all form part of the residents’ lifestyle and experiences.
An extremely attractive remuneration package, including salary packaging will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
The successful applicant will need to meet the requirements of a Criminal History Check as per the Aged Care Act 1997.
